Our website is pick-up only during the hotter months. For warm weather shipments, please call the store during working hours (Tues through Sat 10-6) at 815-758-5990 to get a shipping quote. Please see our shipping policy at the bottom of this page to get a general idea of shipping costs during the summertime.

Return Policy

First and Foremost

We want you to be happy with your purchase! If you are not 100% happy with your purchase, please know that we are happy to work with you.  Please reach out to us!  We are a small family business and we take pride in making our customers happy.  If there are problems or concerns, we want to know!  For the quickest response, we can be reached via email at Chocolate@TheConfectionary.com.  Alternately, you can reach us during normal business hours by phone (815-758-5990) at our main office in DeKalb.


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Although we cannot re-sell returned items, we will replace product or issue a refund on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds (if applicable) 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable) 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. 
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at chocolate@theconfectionary.com. 

Exceptions (if applicable) 

Occasionally items marked as sale items with not be eligible for returns or refunds.  These items will be clearly marked at checkout as “non-refundable.”  

Exchanges (if applicable)
